Gabby Tropea, a college student, found a tabby stray cat last year wandering the streets of Texas. She decided to take it home, and ever since, the pair has been quite inseparable. Recently however, a mishap at their home disturbed the joined-by-the-hip relationship that Gabby and her cat whom she named Boko have.
The incident started when Gabby decided to take her sister Isabelle to school. As she was walking out of the door, she didn’t realize that she had left without her keys. To make it worse, her sister had set the door to lock behind them.
When she came back and realized the door was locked, she was needless to say concerned. She said that Boko appeared concerned as well as she could hear him inside, scratching the door. She even posted a story on her Snapchat account saying that she is locked out and that probably Boko is convinced that he will going to die in there.
Before long however, Boko saved the day! Gabby went back to the patio door and Boko saw her waiting there. The door had a stick as a measure of security to prevent it from opening but this didn’t seem to bother Boko at all!
She said that he had started rubbing his face on the stick when Gabby started encouraging him to lift it. Soon Boko realized what his owner was trying to convince him to do and started lifting it up. She even captured the cute moment on camera. Boko seems to be unimpressed by his deed, as if these kinds of things happen on a daily basis.
Gabby however explained that later on he was too proud of himself as she was congratulating him on the deed. She said that he grew even clingier for a little while, perhaps more convinced than ever that nothing would tear them apart ever again.
The whole ordeal lasted around 10 minutes but this was enough time for Boko to prove his unconditional love to Gabby, coming to her rescue when she needed him the most.
My sister accidentally locked me out of the house so I went to check if the back door was unlocked and this happened pic.twitter.com/2zkjeyFJk5
